What a great challenge!!! I've done this technique on other things but not on a card. I decided to use up some scrap Christmas paper and use my beautiful die cut deer.
I will definitely do this technique again.

You definitely should do this again! The deer looks amazing and your paper choices were ideal for this technique. I love that you kept the rest of the card so simple to allow us to focus on your deer. He's beautiful!

That is fabulous! It really does show the magic of how cutting a shape from the background totally transforms it into something more beautiful than the big piece on its own. It looks as if you had cut the deer from some rich piece of tapestry.
