A big site to choose inspiration from at Real Simple. I knew I wanted to do another High School 3x3 card, so I searched back to school. I found this image and thought, “I have an EF sort of like that design."
Even once I made the background, I was still adrift. I finally decided the design looks like arrows, so maybe an encouragement card, for when you need direction.
I ran the black paper through the embossing folder and then colored the low ridges with a gold permanent marker. I tried putting gold ink on the inside of the embossing folder, it gave a really cool effect, just not the effect I was going for.
So hereÂ’s my card for IC665, definitely not in the top 100 of favorite cards IÂ’ve made, but a little something to brighten my girlsÂ’ day and know they are loved.

You did such a great job with that gold marker. The black and gold is so elegant. Wonderful sentiment, also. Super job with your inspiration.
