Weather - well my favourite type of weather is the lovely sunny warm days of Autumn here. The best weather we have. Days are long and sunny and gently warm after the heat of summer. Autumn is also my favourite time of the year - because of the brilliant displays of colour.
For this card I used my new oxide inks and played around to create a background. Still getting used to them. They are different and will take some getting used to - not as quick as using a gelli plate or using water colours to create backgrounds.
I created the background first before stamping the pretty falling leaves with brilliance graphite black ink and then clear embossing them. I then used a water paint brush and added a little extra colour to the leaves using the oxide inks.
To finish off I added the sentiment - a free stamp - but I thought that it suited the card - as the leaves are indeed aged to perfection in Autumn.
Hope you enjoy.

Glorious Helen! I too think fall is the best time of year. We have had an incredibly hot summer that is still with us. Dropped to 24 deg overnight with humidity you can cut with a knife. Love that swirling leaf image. Your background is perfect with all its layers of colour!

Stunning background you've created for these cool, stylized leaves. I'm in the same place with you, getting used to the feel of working with the oxides for backgrounds. I love this sentiment you've chosen - perfect!
