This is one side of a Basil leaf cluster from the garden that was a little juicy, so there was some green spots that had smooshed out from the leaves after pressing. so, I took a paint brush and some water through a little old paper distress oxide ink along the edges making a little more uniform of a shadow type look around the edges of the leaves. and even though that was on watercolor paper it was thin stuff so, it no longer wanted to be flat so I did run that through my sewing machine to stretch it flat to the mat sheet. tfl.

Love this technique, but at times it needs a little help...like how you just added the right amount of watercolor to it. It still has that beautiful earthy look. Stitching is a great idea, thanks for sharing. Lovely card. TFS

Very pretty leaves and I love how you made them even better. I also love how you sewed your paper to get it to stay flat. All of this is an awesome bg to the real beauty of the card - the sentiment. Being told that by someone is the ultimate compliment - it is sooooo sweet and soooo wonderful. I love this, Stacy. Hugz

Beautiful chlorophyll dendritic technique...you've really nailed it! Love the softness of your colors on your background, the framing, stitching and wonderful sentiment!
