Squeezing a last couple of cards in, I made this for Carla's DTGD challenge. This fun week is our thanks to all the Fan Club members who support SCS through their subscriptions.

Image stamped on white card and coloured with pencils, masked and the sky was sponged in and the foreground coloured with crayons. I made my background using one of Carla's options and discovered yet again that the brayer and I are not friends - in the end I just went direct to paper with my inkpad. Added my hippo with a couple of sparkly birthday balloons, and decided to distress the edges, so trimmed it down a tad before popping it onto a white base.

Your embossed and colored background is fantastic! I love the antiqued look you achieved. TFS!

I really like the distressed look you achieved with the technique, Sabrina. You have me looking at that ef in a new way! I find the leaving the paper in the ef and brayering or direct to paper gets the best results. You're so good at adding just the right elements to a card. This is so cute. Thanks for playing in my challenge.

Laughing at the part where you are not friends with the brayer, neither am I! But you still managed to come up with a great card - love how you did the background and that hippo is adorable!
