It's a special week for the Color Challenge team, and we hope you will join in the celebration! We have reached our 700th Color Challenge! For this special event, each team member has selected her favorite combo between CC601 and CC699, and she is repeating that one this week. Each team member will pick her favorite from the cards made for her challenge, and there are prizes! Oh, and a special prize drawing for those who make five cards--one for each of the five color challenges this week, including the dessert option. Check out this thread for all the details. Get out those stamps and start getting inky!
The inspiration for this card came from Sandi MacIver in Canada. My card looks similar to hers, although I changed the colors, layers and embellishments. I was intrigued by the way Sandi did her colors on the big flower, using a stamping positioner. I wanted to try it out, and I like the results! First I stamped the flower in So Saffron. Cleaned the stamp and used a sponge dauber to selectively apply Berry Burst ink here and there on the stamp, then stamped again. My base card is Pear Pizzazz, the scalloped layer is So Saffron, with white on top. I fussy cut the flower and leaf clusters, popping them up on Dimensionals. Nuvo drops in the three challenge colors completed the card.
This card is also for Kittie's and Stacy's Dare to Get Dirty challenges. Thanks for the fun challenges, ladies!

The effect you achieved on the flower with Sandi's technique looks absolutely dreamy Barbara! Love the stamped and die cut leaves, adding nice dimension and interest!

So very pretty! Love the soft colors you've used.
