I made this card for last week's Teapot Tuesday challenge. Lisa is our hostess and she chose the theme ,"Let Your Love Flow" so we can send a little sunshine to someone. As a child I used to love watching a field of sunflowers as their heads moved throughout the day to follow the path of the sun; thus, the name sunflower. So, since it is August when sunflowers are harvested, I simply had to make a sunflower card. This is an "oldie, but goodies" SU set that is 2-step stamping. The colors look so subdued here compared to the actual card. Nevertheless, I hope this brings a little sunshine to the recipient. I am also entering this card into this week's Alphabet challenge for the color Yellow. Thanks for looking today. ~Karen.

Wonderful!....You have a poet's heart in the way you have described this. Sunflowers are sure to brighten someone's day. Love this old set you used. The Delicata inks look wonderful on your Prayers diecut.

I loved seeing the sunflowers turn like that, I still remember the first time I saw a whole field of them in France. The popped-up one adds so much to this, and for sure they are always a magnet for bees. I am sure Meredith will really enjoy this card.
I know I have a pm to reply to...busy weekend with my BIL over from Australia and my MIL's 93rd birthday celebration, but I will reply soon.

What a Beautiful sunflower card, Karen! I adore the fussy cut popped up one and the other stamped directly on the cs. The sparkle is so pretty and the little dots of color on your paper are perfect. The bee adds a sweet touch~

So very pretty! I have always loved that set. Sunflowers always make me smile. I think they are so wonderful because they are here for such a short while but spread their loveliness around as long as they can.
