Ahhhhh the fun of incorporating a bunch of challenges into one card! But in all honesty, doing so was a HUGE help in completing this last Tickle A Teapotter challenge. I hadn't participated in awhile in one, and was so excited to... and then life happened. Unexpected appointments, traffic delays, and even an unplanned construction project in the room I store my craft supplies (I literally can't get to most of my stuff right now!) meant I had to get *real* creative. :-D
I combined the following SCS challenges for this card:
*MMTPT523 - "Summer Fun," featuring anything to do with the beach. So I picked a setting sun on a beach on the coast! Our beaches in MN are quite a bit different than those at the seashore, but I did my best to make my teapot recipient a card that resembles her type of beach a bit more than what I'm accustomed to here. (I did chose a stamp for the envelope that looks a lot more like our shorelines, however - complete with pine trees and I think even a bit of green algae along the water's edge! LOL) I tried to make a surfboard behind the sentiment, too. Not sure if anyone else will see it as a surfboard, but hey, it worked for me. LOL
*CAS493 - When I think of one of the most important ways to be kind to folks, a smile is one of the first things that comes to mind. How many times has a stranger's smile cheered me up on a difficult day? I hope the encouragement to smile this card displays will warm the heart of it's recipient, too!
*CT0718 - July Fan Club Central Theme was "Sun, Sand, and Turf." Sun and sand appear in my card!
*F4A439 - "Feeling Crumb-y" from July 20th - Crumb Cake! One of my most favorite colors! Luckily, I had some in the one craft supplies drawer I could get to.
*WT698 - "It's Hot and Sticky" from July 26th - I used dimensional tape to pop up my main image. There were bonus points if you used starts on your card, so I hope the sun counts - it is a star, after all!
Note: crumb cake piece comes from a Paper Pumpkin kit from last fall that was open and in an accessible drawer! :0)
Thanks so much for looking!
Blessings,
C

What a wonderful CAS design and layout. Love the texture in that pillow-box shaped piece of kraft. Sorry that your week turned out like that, especially an "unplanned construction project!!! ...I hope your crafty visit to the seaside was restorative.

Hi there. I couldn’t find your card when I looked at the gallery. The keyword is off by one, I think. 523?
Glad you posted this. Glad to have you back, too. This is such a creative card. I love the layout and the knotted string or twine. Very peaceful colors and scene.

I can't believe you crammed all those challenges into such a CAS card. Well done. I love the simple brown/white color combo. I wouldn't have thought that would work as beautifully as it does.
