Memories: we had a large fuchsia bush similar to this in the shrubbery in our garden, and we loved making the flowers into little ballerinas by threading a stem through the calyx to make arms. A neighbour down the road had a greenhouse and he grew many fancy frilled varieties, even more ballerina-like with their pale creams and pinks and multiple layers. But most of all they remind me of summer holidays - all along the west coast of Ireland from north to south, the hedges along smaller roads are filled with fuchsias and I have vivid memories of walking down to the beach along lanes overhung with them on our earliest childhood holidays up in Donegal.
My green layer was made by colouring some tissue with Brushos. When it was dry, I stamped it with several different background stamps. Then I glued it to a piece of card which I had "scribbled" on with a hot glue gun, so it's quite textured. And I edged it with a gold leafing pen.
I was going to use a larger canvas, but was lucky to find a suitable frame in the €2 store near work. I cut a piece of card to fit, and covered it with a dictionary page with two coats of gesso and some gold spatter stamped over it. I added the gold butterflies to finish it off.

How beautiful, Sabrina! They look just like one of the fuchsia baskets I have on my back porch. I love this flower and get them in a few different colors every year since I can never decide which is my favorite
