I have been die-ing (pun intended) to create an eclipse card since Falliday Fest 2017. I remember my heart pounding when that challenge was first posted - how could I have never heard of such an incredible technique and beautiful use of dies? Well, pretty easy it seems, as I just completed the "Easy Die Cutting Techniques" course that I am taking as part of my participation in Altenew's Educator Certification Program, and though I have watched many a YouTube tutorial on different ways to use dies, the mega-talented instructor for this course, Yana Smakula (you may have heard of her - if not, please google her and visit her blog! LOVELY work!) has blown my mind with a several new-to-me techniques for using the dies I own.
I created this card for a coworker's birthday who loves to spend time in her flower garden in the summer. (In fact, I'm blessed by a vase full of some of her colorful dahlias on my desk as I type this!)
I wanted to keep this card simple, as though the recipient grows flashy flowers, she's not the flashy type herself.
Thanks so much for looking!
Have a blessed day,
C
