IÂ’ve never made my own collage background before. The technique lovers challenge piqued my interest today, me with the irrational fear of techniques. Anyway, when I started out, my only thoughts were that I wanted to a make the background have a vintage feel to it and I wanted to use the color mint macaron. It just unfolded from there.
Surpringly I matched up pool party with the mint macaron. It just felt right.
Then came the stamps as I just started pulling stamps from my shelves. I thought seven sounded like a lot. Lol. But this is what I ended up with:
GKD Vintage Chic - 6 Stamps
GKD Gleefully Yours - 2 Stamps (the two images in Black are also from this set)
Rubbernecker- 2 vintage theme Stamps
Unity - Ippity Music of my Heart - 1 Stamp (sheet music)
Total stamps for collage background: 11
Plus the 2 in Black is 13. IÂ’m pretty sure thatÂ’s a personal record, and I like to make whole scenes using stamps from a variety of stamp sets.
Fun challenge!

Great title, as I think this card is a class act. Wonderful composition of vintage stamps, classy enough to send to a Rockefeller. I agree that the pool party paired well with the mint macaron which lends a masculine feel to the card.

WOW what a great grouping for stamps for your piano! And I think the pool and mint colors work well for the bg. Glad you took a chance today and made this..it's wonderful!
