I haven't been to a tea party in a very long time. It is so good to be here! I am late, but then I was always late. I always loved the cookies at these parties, but now I see we have cupcakes and they are gorgeous - thanks for pointing me to them girls!
This week's MMTPT is for Sue (coffeestamper) who lost her youngest Sister recently. My heart goes out to my sweet friend. Bonnie loved pink and purple so I let the colors be my inspiration. I did a sheet of ink smooshing then added frantage and then stamped my flower three times so I could layer it. The background was made by doing water colors in the same colors as the flower in lines and softening with white acrylic paint.
We were only supposed to use three things so I used stamps, Frantage, and Paint (we didn't have to count ink or paper).
Giant hugz, Sue. Millions of them.

I love all of the texture on your gorgeous dimensional flower, from the white paint splatters to the blended colors, the black edging, and all of the shaping. Fantastic!!! The softness of the plaid background really brings out those same colors as are in the flower. That plaid is fantastic, adds to the great, relaxed watercolor feel--wow, beautiful!!! What a great comfort this card will be for Sue!
