This card combines Jean's Tea Party challenge with her VSN Scavenger Hunt challenge. I had so much fun making this card. First of all, she gave us a Gaugin painting for inspiration and I love Gaugin. So I painted the painting. I painted it onto a boarding pass, because one of the things in Jean's scavenger hunt is something that you could use as a bookmark. I generally only have time to read when I travel and I end up using my boarding passes as bookmarks. By the time I finish a book, i have a collection of boarding passes stuffed in it. So, I grabbed one out of my book to use as a canvas (If you look closely at the bottom middle you can just make out a barcode.).
I finished the card off by writing the word "Aloha" and scanning it into my ScanNCut to create a cut file. After I cut it out, I jazzed it up with glittery EP.
All that work and it only took me 51 minutes to make this card excluding drying time. I spent 13 minutes painting yesterday and 38 minutes finishing it up today.
The other things I found in the Scavenger Hunt are:
something that reminds you of summer - blue sky
something that is red, yellow, or orange - hibiscus
something you'd see on a postcard - palm trees
something you'd find on a hike - mountains
I had SO much fun making this card and I hope Vicki loves it as much as I do.
What a super cool idea!!! I love that you used the boarding pass. Another fabulous job combining challenges!!! This is so colorful and will totally bring a smile!

Not just AAAAAAAAAloha, but AHhhhhmazing! I bow to your genius and cleverness and crown you Queen of the Creative People! Jennifer, this has to be the BEST creation I have seen. The fact that you painted it on a boarding pass and handwrote the sentiment seals that. I am honored that you combined my two challenges! Hail, Jennifer. I salute you!

This is a double Jean challenge...lol....I like the sparkly aloha and the pretty yellow flower and the bg sure does resemble a Gaugin painting. I'd say you did a great job on both challenges!
