This card fits a couple challenges for me: First, the camping challenge: when we go camping or "up north" we usually go to the North Shore of Lake Superior and we love sitting on the rocks by the waves crashing and watching the sky at sunset.
Secondly, I the Make it Monday Challenge is to use one of your dies to make a stencil. I took the Wave Cover Plate, cut a stencil from it, and used that for my water. Love how it turned out!
I stamped and die cut the lighthouse first. Sky, water, sun and sand are sponged in, using the stencil and additional masks when needed. Die cut the fence from kraft cs, sponged with DI, cut it and glued together to create an angle. Stamped the sentiment, the grass and birds, and adhered the lighthouse and fence and a thin white frame. I love that this card works for a guy or gal!

Wow - what great composition and bright colors! You're right, the waves look fantastic, and that fence - it's perfect! I've been craving a day to sit by the shore and watch the waves, and your card has satisfied that craving for today while I am "trapped" at work. Thanks!

Wow. Terrific combination, Maura. The North Shore of MA is the place to sit and watch the waves against the rocks. I love the colors, that fence, the grasses......all of it. Favd.

Lovely peaceful scene! Some day I'd like to see a really big lake. I have to say I've encountered some pretty rough waves even on our relatively small larger ones. None of ours are high enough to warrant a lighthouse, and they decorate any scene. I really like the way you angled your fence.

Awesome, Sallie. I love your waves, the sun, fence, just all of it. It would make me happy to be there.
