I started by taking a huge sheet, approximately 9 inches by 12 inches of Bristol Smooth cardstock and did some ink blending using my Simon Dye inks. Then I die cut the ink blended panel using a circle die about 0.75 inches in diameter. Using my versamark watermark ink pad, I used the Holographic embossing powder from Ranger and I heat embossed each and every die cut. Then I took a panel of regular cardstock, measuring 4 inches by 5.25 inches and placed the die cuts in a fish scale pattern.
Next I took the wonky rectangles die from Simon Says Stamp and die cut a piece of heavy vellum. I stamped the images onto some Neenah Solar White 80 lb cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink and did some copic coloring.
I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 110 lb paper in two tones to match the tail of the mer-cat. I used Hot Mama and Spring Rain dye inks from Simon Says Stamp.
I placed everything on top of an A2 sized top folding card base and added some sequins to complete the card.
