A birthday card for my son-in-law that took me 3 hours to make. Last year, I ended up at his house the day before his birthday, had rhe gift in my car, but no card, so I stopped to buy a card. Well, I never heard the end of that ..........me, actually buying him a card. He's quite a handyman, as well as a SAHD (stay at home dad) so I decided to make him a tool card. I borrowed an old SU stamp set, but realized I had a cheap $ store set, that seemed to work as well, so I used a few of bot sets. Stamped and fussy cut all the tools and either ashered them or tucked them into the drawers. The drawers were small strips of cs that I ink distressed with first grey and then burgundy. I cut three very narrow strips from the silver piece of foil under the lid of a yogurt container, and adhered them near the top of each drawer. They were then mounted on dimensionals on the left side of the step card. The sentiment was edged with a turquoise marker and then with bronze stickles, in an attempt to make it look old. I hope Fred likes the card today.
