Missing my home town after this challenge - I haven't been back in 20 years, but the scenes from this site (Zazzle) brought back thousands of memories.
I was on a chase team almost 30 years ago and the dips into the Rio Grande were the most exciting thing to watch (I never got to do it but I did get to touch down on a mountain top). I worked downtown so I added that in as well.
Stamped two DRS Hot Air Balloons with Distress ink and painted everything else.
Fun challenge - thanks Angie.

If I could fave this twice, I would. This is totally AMAZING!!!! We are taking a trip in September to this part of the country. It should be awesome to see these sites. TFS

Aren't you the inspired artist today, Nancy! This looks like a Beautiful Plein Air painting; like the kind that Thomas Kinkade has painted! I'm impressed....

Oh, Nancy! Thanks so much for sharing all three inspiration photos. So fun to read your story! Being on the chase team sounds like a hoot! Your painting is stunning! Makes me think of the balloon glow we go to at Callaway Gardens every few years.
