This is for the Teapotters Challenge - to make a card with crafty items for our Christi/Craft-T-Bear, a fellow SCS'er who needs our encouragement, support and prayers. I combined new and old favorites for embellishments & decorating. In my stash, I found this flower pre-stamped and layered, paired with the sentiment. That is where I started. I layered a heart-shaped doily on the card base and added a button on the flower center (old favorites), added die-cut butterflies (newer favorite), deckle cut and sponging on the edges of the sentiment (old favorite way to decorate), pearls (newer favorite), the yarn scrap (new favorite) is from a bag full that my MIL gave me when she cleaned out her craft supplies. I'm enjoying using bits of yarn instead of ribbon at times.
I hope Christi has some joy with the cards & support she receives and it lifts her spirits. Praying for her to have brighter days soon. Thanks for looking at my card.

I'm impressed that the colour of the doily matches your cardstock perfectly. - I thought at first it was embossed. I liked reading about your old vs new favourites. It's so easy to get caught up in what's new and forget about tried and trusted techniques that still look great. Love the yellow butterflies to match the button cemflower.

What a happy card this is to send to someone who can use a bit of sunshine Diane! I so enjoyed reading how you made this card and which bits are "oldies, but goodies" and how others are new favorites. Fun! I am impressed by your doily too because I also thought it was embossed as well. This flower is literally bursting with joy off this card and the sentiment echos that feeling perfectly! Christi is sure to feel all the love that went into making this beauty Diane. ~Karen.

Wowza that doily heart is amazing and the new and old favorites work great together. Christi is going to adore this card. I love it when my mom and MIL give me bits of stuff from their craft stashes they make for very fun cards.
