We've had a crazy couple of weeks. Had our twin grandsons here for a week so we were kept busy. And now, we are waiting for the phone call to say that the newest addition to the family has arrived. So excited.
As they don't know whether it's a boy or a girl, I've been struggling to decide what sort of card to create while we wait for brand new baby snuggles.
At the inspiration site this week I went down many rabbit holes and somehow wound up on the Beautiful Mess Pinterest page. When I stumbled upon the image of the 'bookcase tree' pictured on the top right, I had an 'aha' moment as it reminded me that my son had sent a photo of the decal they have put up in the nursery (bottom right).
I then set about finding digital images to match the little forest creatures in their wall decal. Printed them on photo matte paper to match the size of the tree die-cut, fussy cut and used crystal effects to give them all some sheen. Quite pleased with how it all came together. So, even though I went 'off-site' from the inspiration site, I was still inspired to create this little baby welcome so I don't show up empty-handed when we get the call. Of course I'll have to make another when I know if it's a girl or a boy!
Thanks for stopping by to take a peek. Have a great week.

Outstanding! You captured the bookshelf tree and the baby room decal perfectly. Love your attention to detail. The animals look fabulous! This card is a wonderful way to welcome your new grandson or granddaughter. It is a true keepsake and could even be framed for the baby's room wall. Very nicely done! God bless the new baby & family. Oh, Heather, how exciting to be expecting another grand baby! Has he/she arrived yet? I know you will be busy and so excited (and will be taking LOTS of photos!!). What a fabulous card for the Inspiration Challenge, and I love the decal they've put up in the baby's room. You've found a great inspiration choice and made a fabulous card that they will LOVE! It's amazing with the many sweet and darling images. I could look at this for a long time and still find some fun details. Beautifully done, sweet friend! Becky and I still get together to stamp but not as frequently. Life gets so busy, but we are still stamping buddies...always! Hugs and love! xoxo
