This is another sample I made for CC694. Stef is our hostess and she has chosen blueberry bushel, real red and white. Dessert Option this week is 4th of July or Americana.
With this challenge we are switching over to the color revamp that Stampin-Up did recently. So many beautiful new colors we now have to choose from. Don't fret if you don't have them yet, use what you have in your stash that's close to the colors we pick. I am still in the process of buying the new colors myself.
For this card, I used the contents of an older Stampin'-Up Paper Pumpkin kit and this card as inspiration from Pinterest. It is a kit to make pinwheels. I cut apart the pinwheels and used the triangle pieces on the corners of the night of navy cardstock.
The kit also came with straws. I cut one of them into thirds to use as birthday candles. For the flame, I used the SU bird punch and some gold glitter paper. The candle wicks are pieces of white twine that I attached with glue dots on the inside of the candle.
Finished off this card with my sentiment stamped on a red banner and added a few red stars. A friend has a birthday on the 4th so this one goes off to her.
Hope you can play along with us this week. Stef chose some great colors and remember you can create an Americana type card if it's too late for the July 4th dessert option. Or let your creativity flow with these colors.
