Another card for Judy's TLC697 Punch Strips challenge. Actually the house punch was about the third one I tried, but I knew it would take longer to make into a finished card than my puzzle piece one, so I finished it off later in the day.
The blue background was originally assorted acrylic paints applied to card with a baby-wipe, but it was very bright, so I toned it down by swirling gesso over it to create a cloudy sky.
The foreground is, I think, DOX on regular glossy cardstock. And the yellow is an offcut from a tie-dye technique I was working on, so it's probably regular distress brayered onto normal card.
The roofs are made from brown Bazzill which had been two ways through the crimper to distress it enough to pull apart for faux suede. Half of that was still in my scrap box, and the non-suede side has an interesting waffle texture which was great for the roofs. To make my big houses look a little less boxy, I used a die from the TH Snow Globe #1 to cut and inlay the windows, so that the small punched houese look like doors.
Added the sentiment and some scattered Liquid Pearl flowers, edged it with gold and stuck it to a black base.

This has YOU written all over it. I really love the boxy houses laid upon all those luscious swirls of sky and curves in your hills. So fun and interesting.
