Just sneaking in before the end of June with cards for this month's Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge! I managed to make three at once, keeping them very simple and using "scrapling" offcuts (the bit you trim off a full sheet to make a square card).
I used Oxide inks and dipped some tissue paper (discarded packaging) into watery pools of two colours and let it dry thoroughly before scrunching it up and sticking it to some cardstock, wrinkles and all. I used some Rub n Buff gilding wax to highlight the texture. My piece was big enough to die cut three circles as background for some elegant holly die cuts on a CAS design.
If you're a Fan club member, why not check out the Christmas Challenge - there's a new theme each month and you get a head start on your holiday cards!

Joanne, I absolutely LOVE these scraplings! I still think it's so clever to make these from leftovers of square cards (clever gal you are!). But truly, I love how you've used the beautiful technique with tissue and what a gorgeous background it makes for the lovely holly die cuts! This is exquisite and will be loved! So you made it for June and are keeping up with us. I love it! Hugs, sweet friend! xoxo

Fabulous! Love the use of the tissue paper and the gilding wax - a perfect background for the simple holly sprig. And it's nice to see a different size card to the standard A2 we all make.
