The ribbon used is very much like my family tartan. I thought I would use stamps, making it look like the woman was standing in a field that had thistle in it (truthfully the stamp for thistle in the set doesn't look like thistle that I have seen)!

That ribbon weaving makes a fabulous background. Now I'm intrigued as to what the supposed thistle stamp looks like. Because if that's the one in the set, it does look like thistles to me!

nice lassie image, she is cute and took a close close look at the thistles and sure are close if are not so we are saying are thistles--great ribbon weaving.

wonderful tartan ribbon, I agree, made for a super bg for this wee Lassie...and fun too as her dress matches so well. Sweet scene as this whole gallery has been fun....TFs..:0)

Yes...the tops are a thistle....Canada thistle...I think, the flowering tops are purple....love your ribbon plaid...turned out very well...along with your sweet girl..
