Great challenge, Kandie! My husband is 100% Irish with grandparents arriving in Boston from County Sligo. We have pictures of them in our family room so I copied them and die cut the Ovals. Patrick is on the right and Mary is on the left. The gold star shows where they were from-Sligo county.
We have been to Ireland driving everywhere in the Republic. Never saw dogs but oh, did we see the cows and sheep! They have the right of way at all times!
We had a wonderful time with wonderful food and great people! ( My husband had been there many times for work.) The gardens are fabulous much like ours in America. Thanks for the challenge!

Very handsome couple, indeed, and so great of you to share them on your heartfelt creation. I hope your husband and maybe you had the chance to know them.

I totally did not know the cows and sheep have the right of way, learn something new every day. I love that you personalized the card with your own family history that is fantastic.

What a fun and very personal card, Kathy. You're so right about the sheep and cows. DH once nearly had an accident with a sheep. And I well remember one time I'd been in the Midlands with my mother and it must have been just coming up to milking time when I was driving back, because if I had to stop once to let a herd of cows cross the road, I had to stop a half dozen times. Thanks for sharing your happy memories of the visit. Love that you added a gold star to show where Patrick and Mary came from.
