Do you ever buy supplies and then don't use them? I do it far more than I wish! Last week I posted my daughter's birthday cake card which featured a stamp I purchased YEARS ago but had never inked
Well, today's card is brought to you by another one of those purchases I bought quite awhile ago and never used. I loved the look of the Flowers in Pot EF but I wasn't sure how to use it. The flower pot has such a nice open space I thought it was perfect for one of The Project Bin's bold sentiments but I wasn't sure how to add color. I attempted a couple of things that ended up in the trash then I decided to just see if the Embossing Folder Stamping technique would work. I wasn't sure how it would work since this is more of a picture and not an abstract folder.
At first, I tried Dioxide Inks but I wasn't really happy with the result then I spotted a discarded piece of stamped paper I created last fall for the Clearsnap Color Box Premium dye review. I can't part with it because the colors are amazing even though I messed up the flower placement. It just makes me happy to see it on my shelf. The photo on the product review is the one that turned out and it's long since been given away so I am glad to have the reject piece for inspiration! ANYWAY! Once I spotted the reject I decided to see how the inks would work with the EF. Oh, my!! I am thrilled.
Just for fun, I added a couple of Ladybug brads from the Eyelet Outlet.

Angie, this turned out so lovely with your embossing folder stamping...gives me some ideas on some EFs that I have that I wasn't pleased with them as just an embossing folder. Love the sentiment stamped on your clay pot!

Oh gosh, this came out beautifully! Your pot is filled with gorgeous and colorful flowers. I love your use of the technique. I am using all old supplies and stamps even if they seem outdated as I have been out of work for 2 months. I'm kind of glad because I have never used so much of them. Happy Stamping!

Love the bright cheery look of this card. I can relate to the uninked stamp issue. I have at least one or two stamps (wink, wink) that have never seen an ink pad. Keep meaning to correct that situation. But then new stamps wander into my Rubber Room and...
