I had three special birthday cards to get organised before going on holidays - I already uploaded the tag book and bench pop-up as they wouldn't be seen by the recipients. This one was mailed to Francie the day I left for holidays, so I can upload it now - inspired by her, I tried to use bright happy colours.
Karen Burniston circle accordion. IO CAC Vines, stamped with Delicata gold on bright card, white gel pen edging. White circles embossed with Clockwork. TH Flutter butterflies stamped and embossed in gold on glossy card swiped with alcohol inks - an old unfinished piece of alcohol ink plaid background, which just happened to be a perfect colour match.

I am esp happy bc I have some Burniston accordian cards so I love to see them get used for inspirations and there are a lot of design ideas for a special card, so I am pinning this. It is a lesson in a card for me
This is very pretty!! She will love it! Lot of different techniques and ideas going on here.
You hand dotted around the edges right? You have such a nice steady hand! I also like the way the colors jump one ahead in the circles. Makes it look all the brighter but you are staying with the three colors. Nice layout idea. I love the BG emboss leaves..unifies the whole thing.

I am looking at the actual card right now as I read how you made it....what an amazing creation. I love the bright colors, and the white gel pen is one of my other favorite tools. The white dots and borders add that whimsical touch that I love. The gold embossing is stunning...thank you sooo much.

Oh, Sabrina, this is gorgeous! I've always been intrigued by Karen's dies, and you've made a stunning card with it using the butterflies! I also love the white gel pen and agree that you have a steady hand! Hope you've had a wonderful holiday time, precious friend! Hugs and love! xoxo
