This card is for this weeks colour challenge;
dapper denim
tangerine tango
sahara sand ...... with the option of using a fourth colour soft suede as dessert. As you can see I've thrown caution to the wind this week and decided to have dessert.
The card is for my husbands birthday which was yesterday and yes I did get it made in time just not photographed or uploaded so I had to borrow it back for a wee while.
Mo Manning is having a fantastic sale on over at Mo's Digital Pencil found here; http://www.mosdigitalpencil.com/retiring-images/ I will have to say I love her work and admire Mo tremendously.
First I did the background by slapping some SU - sahara sand down onto a sheet of baking paper then squirting it with ironing aid, mines the homebrand variety that is lemon scented so there is an added bonus of a nice smelling card lol. I did this three times to get the right coverage drying the card between laying.
Next I printed off the digital image, sizing it to what I wanted (one of the perks of digital images is you can have them any size you want and then coloured it with the copic. I added eh white stitching on the vest and the pipping on his pants with the white pen.
I fussy cut the image then glued it to the background with Tombo Multi glue.
I stamped the greeting in Dapper Denim then over stamped it with Versa Mark - Watermark and heat embossed with the super fine clear embossing powder. I used my newly acquired SU Stamparatus and do I love this little piece of equipment .... oh yes I do lol. I will still use my Misti for large stamping etc but for smaller stamping and multi stamping the Stamparatus is brilliant.. well I think so anyway.
I also used he Stamparatus to stamp the second background which had to be stamped four times as the stamp itself is a strip stamp but I ended up with a piece of the background that I could use on the inside of the card so that was another bonus.
Once I had stuck all the layers together with X-Press It High Tack Double Sided Tape I added the golf ball with Nuvo Crystal Drops - Simply White... and that's all folks.
I seem to have prattled on a bit and not a glass of wine in site.
I should also mention that I'm not affiliated with or receive anything from any of the companies I have mentioned, I just love the products, use them all the time and thought I would share.
Thanks for looking, cheers Marg
