I am elated to be a Color Challenge Guest Designer for the month of June. Thank you, Mary!! This is my card for the first June challenge.
Pam MacKay is the hostess for this week's color challenge. She selected a beautiful color combination of SU Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, and Cherry Cobbler. Her dessert option is "beach".
I do not have all of the SU colors, so I had to make some substitutions that are closely related to Pam's colors. To create the card, I cut an A2 size card base with a top fold. I used an ODBD rectangle die to cut out the center of the card base. Then I stamped and colored the ODBD Adirondack Chairs image. Using SU Marina Mist, I sponged the sky and ocean.
I die cut a yacht and colored it a shade of cherry cobbler and crumb cake and added it to the scene. Then I added and heat set some Liquid Applique around the yacht and places in the water to create waves. Then, I attached the scene to the inside of the front of the card base.
I hope you enjoy my first card as a June Guest Designer and leave a comment. Thanking you in advance!
Bev

Bev, this card just make me want to kick off my shoes and go barefoot in the sand, and sit right down in one of those chairs! What an amazing scene you've created! I especially love the "foam" on the ocean! Welcome to the Color Challenge team for the month of June. It is a delight to have you with us!

Oh Bev, the tranquillity of your beach scene is soothing along with your scripture verse.
Those big puffy clouds and beautiful water color is a tropical delight.
There’s something so soothing about Adirondack chairs. For me, I think it’s because I can actually touch my feet on the ground; being only 5’ tall, there are many chairs I can do that with! Lol.
Congratulations on being a guest designer this month; I’m thrilled to be on this special spotlight with you.
Hugs!

Wow Bev! You have everything here I want at the ocean. Great boat floating or zipping by. The chairs are so inviting I can feel the sand between my toes. Lovely scene.

So happy to see you as a guest designer, and I look forward to all the other cards you will share this month too. I love this pretty scene that looks like paradise to me. I love the way you captured that seafoam. And cards with scripture capture my heart.
