Janja is our Featured Stamper today and what a lovely gallery she has! I was inspired to case her potted Cactus card today. I used different dies - a darker background, washi tape instead of twine and made mine a retirement card.
I've had these cactus dies (Tim Holtz Village Landscape die) for a long time and seeing Janja's card inspired me to get it out! For the pots - I used Vogue Vase dies from PTI and cut off the tops of them to make them pots! I added a little rim to the top of each of them. I used Kraft Core-dinations paper and sanded the pots and cactus a bit to reveal the Kraft core. I die cut tiny flowers from Funky Floral #1 die (also Tim Holtz/Sizzix) and added one to each cactus along with an enamel dot center.
For my background I rubbed Fossilized Amber and Dried Marigold on my craft mat, spritzed with water and pounced my watercolor panel into the colors and dried with my heat tool.
I added a strip of washi tape to ground the pots and layered the smaller pot over the larger with foam dots.

Great background for your cacti! The cacti look great and the way you sanded the pots a little makes them look realistic! It's a beautiful card all around!

Love the way you've created the pots from vase dies and the cute dimensional blossoms. Your WFD yellow background really makes this little scene pop. Into my faves : )
