I wasn't able to try the string theory technique when it was the technique lover's challenge back in December so I'm glad the technique came up in this week's Mix challenge.
I made this card using the colors of the school to make a needed graduation card. I first used the Night of Navy to create the string shape, then, with new string, I inked it with Versamark and added a light golden layer on top. I heat embossed the sentiment and then added a bit of gold Nuvo paste on the sides for texture and more color.
This was fun to make, thanks for the fun challenge.
Thanks for looking!

More gold and navy ;-). It looks great. I would not have dared to try layering two different strings in case the second one came out too different a shape. The added gold texture looks fab.

This is very classy and elegant indeed Catherine. I want to try this technique myself. I am impressed with the 2 colors you used here. There is that wonderful stamp set you are using again so brilliantly. ~Karen.

WOW, Catherine...you have really done a fabulous job with that string theory...love your second gold embossing stringing over the first. All your other added gold glittery embossing and stenciling additions are perfect to bring this card to life! My first thought on your string art was arms uplifting an object into the air...I like Ann's thought...a basketball is perfect!
