#2 The Teapot Tuesday Challenge MMTPT514. Found here; MMTPT514 ~ May 29, 2018 ~ Sing, Sing a Song by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers
This week we were to be inspired by our favourite song. This is always a bit of a problem for me because I'm not much of a music follower, that's not to say i don't enjoy it I just never think to listen to music much preferring piece and quite and the natural sound of birds and nature.
There is one song that has absolutly blown me away for it's clarity and depth though and that's Eve Cassidy's Fields of Gold, watch it here;
To depict the fields of barley I have used the Belleek background technique found here; https://debbiesdesignsblog.blogspot....sday-tips.html and the colours for the CC&S challenge where perfect.
It was quite easy to do. I used three of the border dies out of the set to achieve the border for the quote panel and I clear embossed the quote after first stamping it with SU - Basic Grey and mounted the quote panel over the other panel with craft foam and attached both layers with Tombo mono glue painting it on with a paint brush which I first dip in normal washing up detergent.
......and that's all folks, thanks for looking.
Cheers Marg

I'm glad you had a song to be inspired by to make this beautiful card, Marg...though I don't think it had to have a favourite, any song is fine. DH is a big Eva Cassidy fan. I love the way you added the border to the sentiment panel - going to try to remember that. And the inked embossing folder was a great way to get the fields of gold. If I hadn't double-checked your supplies, I wouldn't even have been sure that that is the ef with the bird!
Awww! This totally makes me smile. I used the same Unity Kit today but I am waiting to post it. I used a different sentiment though. The design caught my eye from the thumbnail. So pretty!

I have this song on my I Tunes playlist sung by Sting, love it! Your card is fabulous, Marg, great colour combination, I recognise the EF (one of the first EFs I bought), love the super sentiment with the curved edge and that divine bow!

I think you have picked a wonderful song and the rendition by Eva Cassidy is chilling! Just beautiful--the song and the card you created for it. The gold and the fields of barley are brilliant.

You have made a gorgeous card based on your inspiration song. I love what you did with this particular EF and the wonderful results you achieved. The border die on the sentiment panel is something I have never thought to do before and I love what I am seeing here. This silvery ribbon ties your card up so beautifully. ~Karen.
