I couldn't help thinking of Dr. Dolittle and the pushmi-pullyu when I saw the title of MariLynn's Pull It MIXed media challenge.
I thought her embossed sample was beautiful, so I puddled a bit of twine in some Versamark re-inker and used that between two pieces of kraft and black cardstock. I used Verdigris ep on the kraft, that's waiting for another day. Obviously I used gold on this one, and I love how it came out, though the finished card is WAY busier than I wanted. All because I stamped Imagine crooked and didn't want to make the piece smaller by trimming it down.
Anyway, I stamped Off the Grid over my string art piece, and added all the words, plus the leaf stamp from Playful Petals round the edge. Some gold spatter stamped in with Gorgeous Grunge using Delicata gold. I lightly swiped white ink into the open parts of the flower and then added Stickles.
The butterfly was stamped on a scrap of white card and embossed with gold. I used Mermaid Markers to add colour and then used Nuvo Clear drops for a resist. When it was dry, I spritzed it and sprinkled Vermilion Brusho over it, and then a little yellow to fill in any gaps. I made antennae from wire.
The piece is edged with a white Posca pen. The base is edged with a gold leafing pen, then I added white dots and more Gorgeous Grunge gold spatter.

WOW! Sabrina, this is gorgeous. I love how your gold string art looks. Love the little butterfly that you added. Thanks so much for playing along this week.
