I usually have my card made several days before a challenge but this week, I barely got this finished. I had a boatload of wonderful company, - my kids and their families over the weekend and I am emotionally spent from goodbyes. Also made me feel lazy and like I just wanted to sit around and cry - so I got busy with laundry and cleaning and getting the house back to it's normal state, and then decided I wasn't going to wimp out on a week when the colors were also scaring me a little - I picked my fav color of the bunch and highlighted it - Berry Burst - I threw in a good amount of daffodil and turquoise, and I'm sure if you send a search party out you will find traces of cucumber crush in there too.....you have to look high and low but it's there in a miniscule kind of way. Okay -so I got through this day and the first 24 hours are the hardest - man I love my kids and their clans. It's back to work tomorrow which is always therapy to get my mind off anything!! Happy Tuesday everyone!!

Karen, I saw your post on Facebook today, and felt so sad for you. It's always like this, but you can look forward to the next family visit! I am in awe that you found time to create a card, and this one is a beauty! And yes, I do see Cucumber Crush in there along with the other challenge colors. That new set is sure appealing! So pretty!

Oh, Karen, I know how you feel, it's tough to see everyone head back home when you don't get to be with them all the time. I love the card you "pulled" together...sheesh, I wish I could put together something that gorgeous so quickly. You are pretty awesome!

Beautiful Karen I'm glad you decided to play. I know how you feel to, same thing happens to me although it usually takes me two days to get all the sheets and towels washed lol.

I totally see the cucumber, Karen (she smiles). Beautiful card, and I'm glad you powered through the feelings to join the challenge. I know everyone would miss seeing you. I love your layout, the dramatic black striped scalloped border and that repeat circle sentiment - absolutely perfect! Love this card!
