CAS483 = Remembering - make a card remembering or celebrating a special someone in your life ... add a pop of red
My Mum passed away two years ago. Her birthday is at the end of May and my sisters and I always do something special to remember her on her birthday. I made this card with her in mind so will send it to one of my sisters.
My Mum loved to garden and had beautiful borders of vibrant perennials. Summer was her favourite season. So I incorporated both of those into the card.
I stamped the image on watercolour paper with Archival ink. I coloured it with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers - I laid down the colours and blended them into each other without using any water so I got rich strong colours. I trimmed it down and attached it to the card base. I then created the top layer with the "Summer Time" sentiment, an opening, and a cross-stitch frame around the opening.

Such a gorgeous, vibrant bouquet which really pops against the white. Lovely stitched die cut to showcase the flowers as well. You could have been describing my mom who also was a gardener and had gorgeous perrenial beds. She will be gone three years in July and I never stop missing her.
