I've been wanting to make a fidget spinner, since a while back I saw a video showing how to make one from paper. No ball bearings and it actually spins quite well. I wanted one that wouldn't fall apart the first time a kid played with it, so I reinforced everything with cereal box chipboard. In the process, I did a lot a tweaking until I had one with which I was satisfied.
With the approach of summer vacation, I thought this would make a great card for a child ending the school year. The bus is mounted on double thickness adhesive foam tape. The spinner slides into a slot on the bus, and can be removed to play with.
I can't seem to remember which video I watched. I also used these simple instructions here, but made some changes to make the spinner more durable.
