This project started as a backgrounds project with Color Burst pigments. I wanted to experiment with colors and ended up making three backgrounds on Distress watercolor paper. I allowed the backgrounds to dry for several days and then let them dictate an idea for each. The reds reminded me of a sunset and I went with a desert theme. Stamped, colored and cut the cacti. Some are mounted with foam tape for dimension. I used a variety of greens and violets for the coloring. Sentiments are Dazzles tiny words stickers. Sorry the rotate did not work - I've tried twice.

I tend to cringe every time there is a powdered watercolor pigments kind of a challenge and I am really impressed with how your background turned out here, the desert scene is perfect with it
