I had fun making this for Carla's WTUI challenge this week, which you can find HERE.
I love using my own photos on cards. But alas, these days my printer does not like anything other than regular copy paper, and the ink is taking forever to run out so that I can install a new one ready waiting in the wings. So I went to my scrap background box, where I had stashed some old photos from a (very) old family album. From my research, looking up the term instantaneous photography, this probably dates from around 1880 or thereabouts.
Background - wrinkle free distress with Brushed Corduroy and some re-activated blue and yellow DOX that was on my craft sheet. Stamped with French Script in Versafine Clair Morning Mist, and Timeless Textures and IO Distress in Sepia and Morning Mist. Also some Sanded Pencil through a stencil, and TH Flutter coloured with watercolour pencil and then SN clear glitter pen.
Stamped Recollections sentiment on photo and then on base. Added lace and some buttons, then heavily distressed and sponged the edges (vintage photo, antique linen DOX). Base sponged with vintage photo DOX.

Faved! I love this beauty! There are just so many interesting things to look at that all come together so well! As a side note, your channeling your inner Polly Peeps today. I'm sure I'm not the only one who likes to browse the gallery and guess who made the card before scrolling down to see. I guessed Polly on this one.

So pretty...you get an A+ on your photo challenge! I love the image ...what a sweet girl and all your elements are perfect! Of course the lace is fab...it's a given on any vintage card and I really have my eye on that metal 4 leaf clover...very cool!

What a sweet photo, Sabrina, and lots of vintage details to look at. I especially love the lace, the distressing and the four-leaf clover. Nicely done.

LOVE your collage/vintage card, Sabrina. Charming image of the young girl and your bg is perfect. I really like that clear lucite star.....I know it is small, but to me, it added a great deal.

This is one impressive card....great bg you created with the stamp and other technique...compliments the vintage photo perfectly. It's amazing to me the quality of old photos, and how well they have preserved the years. Thanks for sharing.
