DD9ABC14N: The alphabet challenge is on the letter N this week and focusing on colors in this round. My letter N is Night of Navy. The double challenge was to use night and my scene is at dusk/sunset. Is that close enough? I wanted the lovely colors in the sky but you can see the dark night time sky coming at the top of the card, right?
I took the opportunity to try the Skyline Stamping tutorial found in the wonderful tutorial section here on SCS. You should check those out if you haven't already.
Using the "brush stroke" from Sheltering Tree, I stamped the sunset and reflection and then used a paintbrush and water to soften and blend. Then, using the back side of a stamp in Watercolor Wings, I stamped my skyline and reflection. Again, a brush was used to soften and blend. Then Spectrum Noir sparkle was added to the buildings and their reflection. Last, white gel pen to add the appearance of windows.
I die cut two of the sentiments and stacked them for some dimension. I colored a pearl with my Melon Mambo marker and used that for the dot of the I.
This was a fun tutorial, thank you! And thanks for looking!
