I made a background piece using the nail polish marbling technique, which I then cut in strips and paper pieced into her dress. I added just a touch of Copic markers to the umbrella, and a thin strip of blue foil paper.

This is a beautiful technique I can't wait to try with all the old nail polish I was about to throw out. Sure hope I kept the black polish I used for Halloween. I think it would be stunning as an accent color. Thanks for sharing a project that uses supplies we probably already have. Also, you did a great job on the video!
