This card covers three challenges this week, color, using washi tape, and portion control-offsetting images.
I first used a vine patterned washi tape to make a border extending the tape beyond the edges, then mitered the corners and peeled the excess tape off, pressing corners firmly in place.
I then offset the stamped stems on cardstock.
The small background flowers are from a brushos project and diecut.
The large diecut flowers are stamped in calypso coral, the bouquet holder stamped in Peach, bow stamped in So saffron (sub. for crushed curry).
Stamped sentiment in Pear pizazz 3x for a good impression.
I glued all the diecut pieces and also offset a flower and the bow and cut excess away.
This card will go to my long time best friend who turns 60 next week.

What a great challenge combo, Jeannie! Love that fabulous washi tape. And the bouquet does look cute set off to the side like that. Isn't it great when challenges inspire the perfect card? And I think this one is perfect!

This is so pretty...that washi tape is fabulous..I love it and how clever of you to use it as a frame and even adjust the corners. Your bouquet is so sweet and lovely..perfect for birthday greetings for your dear friend. She's going to love this!
