I love white silhouettes as much as black ones, so decided to do white this time... I used Loll Thompson's technique for tissue paper watercoloring with the added step of embossing the ridges with gold ep. You can see her video here, and the part about the added embossing comes in the second half. Loll makes fabulous videos if you like exploring new techniques.
After I made my bg, I die cut the panel with the stitched opening, and the birds. Gold embossed the sentiment, and assembled all with the panel and birds popped up with dimensionals.

This is so pretty. I just made a b/g using Loll's video with tissue paper too, so when I saw your card, it caught my eye right away. Mine, however, did not turn out well as I got ink on the card and couldn't get it off after I had adhered it all. Go figure. I may upload one down the road and I will certainly keep your card in mind for inspiration!

I love white sillouettes against beautiful backgrounds and this one is beautiful! The wide, white framing just makes your image and blue background "pop". I'm also a fan of Loll's videos.

Oh, this is fabulous, Maura. You really did a super job with the tissue and I see you you had no trouble with the embossing. It looks awesome.
