Cathy's WTUI challenge is Spotlight on Silhouettes. This fits the May Fan Club theme, Mother May I... use something new, the dies are new. I used both stamp and die cut silhouettes and the Black Ice technique featured in TLC687. The card will go to the Clendenning family with sympathy at their tragic loss.
I followed the Black Ice technique using branch and bird silhouettes on silver paper. Adhered to the PP panel and wrapped with mesh ribbon. Added black die cut birds to complete. TFL

Carla, that black Ice panel looks amazing and I love the contrast between that and the matte panel to the left. The use of net ribbon to emulate fencing was truly inspired!!

A beautiful card with your silhouettes and technique. That sentiment is so perfect for a sympathy card, also.

Carla, this is gorgeous with the black ice and the silhouettes, and I do love this sentiment (I've never seen it before, but it is so beautiful!). Hugs, sweet friend! xoxo

I love the look of the Black Ice technique! I have never done it, but I received a tickle card that had it and it is beautiful! Love the use of silhouettes on this as well. Thanks for coming to the tea party!
