I have always found great peace near the sea. It quiets and comforts me and being ON the sea, especially in a sailboat, is a wonderful soul restoration.
This card was done by watercolor lift. I created a background on watercolor paper and then while it was wet, laid a stencil on the background. I let it dry completely and lifted the stencil.
I hope that Robin's family finds comfort in the days ahead.

I love the peace of the sea too. And the quietness of sailing is especially peaceful. Your lifted background on this is fabulous! Great choice of colors and stencil. The swirls look like the wind and waves! Perfect card for my challenge!

Stencil lift....does that ever make a pretty bg, and so perfect with your colors and on the sea. My SOL is from around Ontario, but I forget exactly where, I am gong to find out and see if you guys live close by just for fun. Beautiful calming scene here....TFs..:0)

I can imagination the peace that a sailboat would bring - though I've never been on one. But on or near water, yes - very restorative. I love this, Jean.

Jean this is fabulous, I'm going to have to try this technique. Your stencil looks just like the one I screwed up and through away then spent hours looking for it. Fortunately I did eventually find it in the waste paper bin, lol.
