The sea has always been a place of comfort and peace for me--I AM a water sign, after all! This card was done by creating an alcohol ink background and then stamping with versamark ink in the background stamp.
(I think--I had the background stamped and put in my box of treasures from an alcohol stamping frenzy--check out Jennifer McGuire's youtube channel for sure--it was her video that inspired me.)
I used dylusion ink sprays on water color paper and then cut my critter die cuts from those papers.
I hope this card brings comfort to Robin's family.

I agree with you, when you're at sea, you can see very far but you don't see anything, you listen to the waves and birds but you don't hear anything...I hope you understand what I mean, your card shows really what you feel!!

Yes, I think this was one of the ghosting backgrounds we created while I was there. Just beautiful! And the beach is another peaceful place. I love the way you colored your critters! It makes them a step up from a simple diecut. Another great card for this challenge!

SO cute and pretty at the same time, the sentiment reminds me of "MOANA", I don't know if you have seen that cute movie, but its fun. I find water calming too, I like this challenge so nice for our friends going through such a hard time...TFs..:0)

I didn't realise that you could get such a beautiful watermark effect with Versamark on alcohol inks. Your little sea creatures are fab, too - the sprayed colour makes them look textured just like they would be in real life, especially that crab.

Such a beautiful, soothing color for your lovely background. The white frames die is perfect over top with the sea creatures. I agree, the sea is a very comforting place to be.

This is a pretty card. There is even something peaceful about this beautiful color.
