-crushed Curry
-pear pizzaz
-peekaboo peach
Dessert this week is a pocket
Well this is the first time I’ve ever done an easel card as a pocket. As you can see the thinking of you book mark will pull out of the diary pocket. The only true Stampin’ Up! color I had this time was pear pizzazz. I die cut the memory box, thinking of you in the pear pizzazz. It matched wonderfully with the old Mello Moss ink I stamped the Dawn Houser diary stamp with. The print script pocket is paper made with Kirby Teasdale studio paper pack and was cut from Cricut Cartridges Walk In My Garden at 3”, the bookmark was cut the same and I used the old SU French Script in Blush Blossom and SU crackle wheel in mellow moss for texture before gluing the words and adding a stray piece of SU ribbon in some kind of yellow color.
The card is made of Arvey Peach paper cut with Spellbinders fancy rectangle die and embossed with a Sizzix frame folder and torn edges for a slight antique look and some texture. The Stampendous post card is stamped and embossed in Black Versa fine and black embossing powder. It was then cut with the Taylor expression rectangle stitched postage die. I added a dab of sandstone brusho on the corner for an aged appearance, and colored the post mark with copic G12. The Marianne flower spray reminds me of baby breath, but is so big I rarely use it, I also colored it with G12 and added liquid appliqué and left it to dry on its own without my normal heat setting. The flower holder is Impression Obsession stamped in black, cut with scan n cut, and colored with Y0000, YR23, and R20. I layered a tad of white gauze bandage behind the post card for more texture. Last but surely not least is the rose from the SU 5th Avenue Floral set. I colored this with no line coloring using copic markers Y0000, R000,00,01,11,20,21,& 93. It was cut with the SNC2 and was truly a labor of love. This took me almost an entire day to color it and another day touching it up. I do admire you ladies that watercolor your flowers. You are truly talented ladies and my hat is off to you.
Ladies come join in the fun, as you can see I had limited SU colors, and limited skills but they are close enough to join in the fun. So JUMP IN! Share you creations with us.
I always tell people, If you canÂ’t find it on Split Coast it isnÂ’t available or it isnÂ’t worth having.
As always all of your comments are appreciated and make me a better crafter.
Happy Stamping,
Tonda |
