This one is for my lovely Mother, as stated in the title! I am focusing on finishing the last four of my Round 8 Alpha Challenge (shame on me!), so my color scheme and image were chosen to fit the color YELLOW! It also fits four other Splitcoaster Challenges, as follows:
#1. Alphabet Challenge, Round 8... DD8ABC25Y - 1/13/17. Letter Y for the abundance of "yellow" on my card! I am NOT entering the bonus Double Challenge requiring use of a basecoat.
2. Free for all Challenge -F4A428 - 5/4/18...create a card with inspiration from the "Kentucky Derby." I did a little research and found some lovely image that represented the derby hats and why women dress up with these elaborate hats. It was very interesting noting that it dates back to the very beginning of the Derby in 1875, following British and European racing tradition. I found some wonderful pictures with some LOVELY, very elaborate yellow flowered hats that reminded me of my lovely daffodil image that I intended to add to my card. Links to these pictures are below.
3. Inspiration Challenge - IC648 - 5/5/18... Grandinroad. I browsed and found inspiration from the site from Arched Shutter Outdoor Wall Decor photo: https://www.grandinroad.com/arched-s...-decor/1152978 and the fourth thumbnail down on the left...with all the glorious greens and yellows.
4. Featured Stamper - FS587...Definitely a Crafter - Connie aka Conniecrafter. Connie has a lovely gallery filled with over 1,300 cards. I found several to inspire me with possible layout ideas from added a frame to my daffodils, to criss-crossed twine as well as the general layout with a few modifications from these two cards: Framed Bird by Conniecrafter at Splitcoaststampers and Darcie stamp by Conniecrafter at Splitcoaststampers.
#5. USEIT2018 - the ongoing challenges to dust off old materials and tools that have not been used and are gathering dust or new ones that you've owned and never used. I used my Lattice Spellbinder rectangle die as a frame for my daffodils, which had not seen the Big Shot for at least two years, and I used my My Favorite Things double fishtail die that had never had the package opened, but was purchased over two years ago.

Carlene, this is just beautiful. Those daffodils are so beautifully colored and the dsp is so perfect with them. Your mother is going to love this card. I liked the Derby hat pictures, too.
Thanks, for playing the challenge.

Carlene, you sure have a knack for combining challenges and for creating beautiful cards! Those lovely layers and embellishments compliment your pretty daffodils perfectly, especially the lattice frame and yellow twine. I love the interior sentiment, it's a lovely tribute to your mother.

Beautiful card with lovely layers! The patterned paper looks like it was was embossed and distressed and is so effective behind the panel of daffodils. Great combination of die cuts and way to rock all 5 challenges.
