Today's Ways to Use It challenge reminded me that I made a personal goal for the year to make at least a couple of cards a month using up some of my stash of patterned paper. I have totally failed in that goal!
But here at least is one card using a piece of patterned paper from my stash.
I picked a pretty green dp with a small print, and then found a piece of light kraft cs that blended with it well and stamped and heat embossed in white. I coloured with white and green coloured pencils, trimmed it down and bordered in white.
Though I like the card, it just doesn't feel like my current style! So while I had the stamp out, I made another one (see here)using a dry embossed background that I like much better!

I like them both, but agree the second is more YOU. Nice dp, and with the bit of green matches nicely.

Both cards turned out great and I do like the white on kraft look - My personal preference is the more open swirled design on your other card and maybe that's what you personally are missing on this card too . . .

Susan, this is a pretty Christmas card! The dp looks great with the doves on the kraft! I love how you colored them white and then added the small touches of green for the leaves!
