A quick card for Lydia's Seeing Red MIXed media challenge. There's not much of the afternoon left for me, so I used a background I'd been working on earlier - a not very good stencil monoprint with DOX twisted citron, and then misted with a homemade blue mister before removing the stencil.
When I read Lydia's challenge, make red the focus said poppy to me, and I have never yet used this big SNSS stamp, in fact I had to retrieve from my bag for gifting. I stamped it on textured paper for acrylics, embossed with clear EP, spritzed with water and added Brushos. The "Hope" is die-cut from the margin of the piece of card, where there was still plenty of red. I added some washi tape, two die-cut leaves, and shaped the poppy slightly so that the centre is stuck to the card and the edges raised up a little with foam tape. I've been wanting to use this stamp set which Cheryl sent me, and the challenge prompted me to use red for the Hope, which isn't something I would normally do.
Now it's time to tidy my desk and then start prepping dinner.

Love the way the big poppy turned out with the Brusho colouring and the acid green stencil shapes make a great background for it - lovely card Sabrina!
