This is my card for Carla's Hug An Australian WTUI challenge this week - you can find it HERE.
She offers us several options, and I'm certainly hoping to follow at least one more of them up. But I'm still trying to use up my Pinflair glue which I opened for Lisa's 3D paper-piecing challenge a few weeks back, so this is the card I prepped last week before our holiday.
Kind Koala stamped on rectangular piece and three times more for cutting, shaping and piecing. He's coloured with pencils, and then the foreground was sponged in before I did the layering.
For the base, I die-cut several leaves from green Bazzill, stuck them to the white card front and embossed it with a plaid ef. Then I added the little pink punched flowers, and gave them Stickles centres. The koala has a Glossy Accents black nose, and there are more Glossy Accents and a sprinkle of glitter on the centre of the flower. Image panel popped up on thin foam.

Sabrina, that koala is absolutely adorable! Great job on the 3D paper piecing. The leaves and flowers are such a pretty bg. Your fun card is a nice way to Hug an Australian! Thanks for creating a sample for the challenge.

How cute is this!! Everything about your card is terrific Sabrina and your little koala looks just like the real thing. Real life koalas looked exactly the same as the soft toy ones LOL. They snore like a drunken sailor!

Such a cute koala, Sabrina, and I like the plaid emb folder with the leaves scattered about. Koala's nose is too cute.

The koala is really cute but what caught my eye at first was that amazing embossed, pieced bg...it is so cool and provides a unique bg for the little guy. Great job on this!
It's finally warmed up here! I still have tiny bit of snow in my yead but with temps in the 60's it should be gone soon!
