I created this card to submit to Barbara's beautiful color challenge using SU colors of Tranquil Tide, Sweet Sugarplum, and Rich Razzleberry. This weekÂ’s dessert option is to make a one-layer card. My card is a one-layer card and I used Copic sketch markers closely related to the color combination to color the Penny Black Tulip Bouquet image on my card.
To create the card, I covered the Penny Black Tulip Bouquet stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped the image onto Neenah Solar Card Stock. I used the copics to color the image. After coloring the image, I colored the remainder of the panel to give the card the appearance of a multi-layer card. I created that by masking the floral image and a portion of the panel and brushed on PTI Sand Dumes ink. Afterward, I left the floral mask on and removed the mask that was around the floral image. Then I laid a PTI stencil over the panel and brushed on pink ink to cover the remaining white space. I traced the edges of the light tan section with an SU Creamy Caramel marker. To finish the card, I die cut the panel using an ODBD Pierced Rectangle die, stamped on a sentiment from an ODBD Aloha Stamp Set, and added sequins.
Thank you so much for stopping by to view my card. A special thanks to those who leave a comment!

Those tulips are beautifully colored Bev, I appreciate your skill with Copic markers. Masking to make the different background sections was such a creative way to add contrast and texture to the single layer, and the result is simply stunning! Love this beauty!

You have created a card with my favorite flower and it is gorgeous. How beautifully you colored it, Bev. Your stencilled bg looks so pretty in pink and I like that you added that little sequin over the bow.

Your tulips are colored wonderfully.....love how you made this look like a three layered card using masking, along with the sponging and stenciling. Beautiful card. TFS

Oh, Bev, this is gorgeous, and it certainly looks like an extra layer under the tulips! Beautifully colored, and I love the stenciling for a soft background. And the best part is a most wonderful Scripture verse! So very glad you joined in this week's Color Challenge, precious sister! You are amazing! Hugs and love! xoxo
